Sinjin Hawke (CA/SP)
Montreal native and current Barcelona expat Sinjin Hawke had prepared a beat orgy for a (still large) group of patient fans at last year's Lunchmeat Festival with his purely hardware set. A lot changed since then – but Sinjin hasn’t rested on his well-deserved laurels. His sound, which utilized neon maximalism as well as Jersey Club bangers, has partially turned itself to holistic club constructions currently presented mainly by the Night Slugs label.
After all, Sinjin had worked on two tracks with the label’s boss L-Vis 1990, that can be easily called “next level”, which is a tag that can be also used for his new project Fractal Fantasy – a collaboration with a number of “dance 2.0” devotees, which is set in the universe of cyber-plastic audio-video art. Sinjin Hawke has established himself as one of the most vanguard figures of the current beat scene over his few active years. His seamless sets belong to the most futuristic (and most fun) level of the current beat science.
