TV Tiger (CZ, visual)
“Narrativity, instinctive esthetisation, low-bitrate-tenderness. Street on which the asphalt is being torn apart by the growing grass. Whitenoise bogy-man, Nintendo cartridge smell and the closing credits of space documentary recorded on a videotape.”
Audio-visual duo TV Tiger is a few months old contribution to the Czech visual scene. Their novel approach based on the principles of remixing, transferred from music to visual field, brings a breath of fresh air onto club screens and to galleries trough performances, workshops and audio-visual shows. Experimental painter Sofia B. Švejdová and (amongst other things) graphic designer Tadeáš Haager create a category of artistic morphology where film creates installation and exhibition creates video projection. The VJ duo doesn’t stop at audio-visual performances, they also work with the DIY principles and build their own analogue projectors with which they remix the film material.
Even though this audio-visual duo hasn’t been around for too long it has already collaborated with artists such as Piano, Jiří Burian, Adrian T. Bell or Lanugo. In the duos prenatal phase the two artists collaborated as solitaires on the audio-visual shows of Karaoke Tundra, Floex, Ghostmother or One Bit Wonder.
