C.H.District vs. VJ Comankh, MeetFactory, 02:20 AM 03/14

Miroslaw Matyasik aka C.H.District sprang up on a Polish scene during the second half of 90s and his early influences are very noticeable even in his actual production. Especially in his banging live sets, which are very straight-lined compared to his only LP, Slides. Slides were released on the French label m-tronic in 2005 and the Silesian musician was certainly not ashamed to admit his affection for full-blooded idm, standing somewhere between splintery Aphex Twin classics and sensually colourful production of early Apparat or the mood reverberations of the whole BPitch Control label if you like. Gentle (for most of the time) drone together with artificial strings sustain abstract but controlled beats, which certainly don't suffer from a lack of cadence, and sometimes even sink into techno or academic breakbeat.

Such compositions beg for visual support and therefore C.H.District (who by the way also performs with a videoart band Suka Off) has been performing together with VJ Comankh for some time.
