Michail Bulgakov was writing his masterpiece "The Master and Margarita" for almost 12 years. André Carrilho and Nuno Correia managed to visually reinterpret this literature classic in a much shorter time, even despite the fact that both of them live in a different country. This fact points not only to the dissolving of traditional physical distance barriers, but also to an occurrence of phenomenon of cultural forms being shifted and transferred from one place to another. Their artistic vision combines various approaches with creatively-technological perfectionism, which is very peculiar to both of artists. Their interpretation of Bulgakov's novel is certainly going to be one of the festival's peaks and Videojack will take this opportunity to show the broad public how Master-fully they work with flash, vector graphics and other visual tools. They will also use their own tools, programmed by Nuno Corrieou, which will, together with their unique collection of noises and drones, help to liven psychedelic images. Videojack altogether perfectly demonstrate the broadening of artistic horizons, their plasticity and permeability.
"The Master and Margarita" will be performed in the Friday afternoon (along with a lecture), but Video Jack also join forces together with the British queen of wonky and dubstep Ikonika, whose digital sound structures will serve as a take-off platform for their collaborative performance.
