Lunchmeat Pure Audiovisual Extravaganza - International festival of the independent electronic music and visual art

We have festival photos

It's been quite long since the festival ended and with an aloofness, we bring a report on the festival from our point of view – through viewfinders and words.

Those who lasted out to the end were the winners who took it all. Even if the Friday and Saturday programmes were delayed far more than we wanted (and we apologise for that), Torrent de Bites, dancing in skirts folkloric dances, and cranks Yes, Robot together with filthy VJ Entter proved themselves as pure energetic guys in genuine shows anyway. We highly esteem those few heroes who didn't leave the party in the lur and danced till the morning.

But gigs are not only about dancing and the table was lain also for those who like to just close eyes and bend head backwards. Examples? Annie Hall, dark and reflective, with colourful pintaycolorea. Or Jahbitat, who forced the sound through 30-minute delay (which was nothing compared to ours, we confess) and who was levitating somewhere in a misty country of dreams.

Ikonika, Friday headliner, was eager about basses far more than we had seen in our worst premonitions. We wouldn't have wished you to be in the backstage during her set. It has been impossible to enjoy such first-class vibes anywhere else, even on the chance of shaking hands with a longtime air-hammers handler.

In return, Kidkanevil craziness and unpredictability in mixing proved to the letter. He began with own wonky collages, then he played dubstep and finished with reggae. And Ad Bourke, the other Red Bull Music Academy participant? He conjured with supple beats nearly as good as a beardless magician of Ghostmother, who lifted the table up to the ceiling just by his willpower.

Nosaj Thing and Aalto? When Romain stopped to triffle with lightning of single polystyrene pieces and began to ride across the whole space with stars and lights, we knew that there are very few better joinings of VJs and musicians. Those who didn't saw this, missed one of the performance of the year on the stage, that won't be seen again. But we admonished you about this before!

We esteem and aprreciate anyone, thanks whom we were able to do this. Which is, first and foremost, you  – those who visited the festival and also a lot of friends who set to work and our partnes who are great and know that is good to support young fresh collectives.

P. S. The document about festival is being prepared. We probably won't share it at DVDs in tobacconist's, but you will be able to watch it. You can wath videos on youtube till then. You should also check out the web regularly. There are going to be interviews with artists and hopefully also remarks of participants of Ilan Katin's workshop.

P. P. S. We've embeded  photos of Martin, Ditu3e, tvprodukt, Lachtan and Andres finally. Thanks!

P. P. P. S. You can write your own stories to the discussion (see below). About how you met the love of the life, started a family and enjoyed unforgettable weekend or about how you waste two nights and it made your life complicated. We'll be grateful for any remarks and ideas.
